My life, travelling and writing…

I have called Leeds my home for the last 25 years, but as lovely as my home is, the travel bug set in and I haven’t looked back since.  I first set off to Indonesia in 2004, teaching English overseas, but complications soon arose with visas and corrupt officials which resulted in some terse interrogations with uncompromising police officers and narrowly avoiding a five year prison sentence.  I managed to escape to Singapore on Christmas Day – missing the Boxing Day tsunami disaster.

I am inspired by Bill Bryson and Michael Palin and being a novice to book publishing I can only hope that readers enjoy my debut book “Pringles, Visas and a Glow in the Dark Jesus” which, as the title may imply, is a travel memoir filled with humorous observations and light-hearted recollections of my adventures overseas.
